Been through a steep learning curve on Bafang conversions and all things related with successes and disasters along the way. Much help from members here!
I am soon to start the process of converting / combining this secondhand bike with my original BHSSD into what I consider to my first proper electric bike.
The frame is an alloy mix with 73m BB, type PF30.
I have ordered a 73mm PF30 insert to convert the BB to BSA type. This, to enable the frame to take the BBSHD motor.
These inserts are recommended in EMPOWEREDCYCLES.COM blog entitled:
'Bottom Bracket Standards and Bafang mid drive motors'
Can anyone please tell me of they have any experiences they have been through, good or bad, on this same type of BB/FRAME conversion.
