there are cases like with STI levers where it's difficult or unsightly to fit sensors to the brakes.
Thanks for that info. I thought there should be two. I will try it with one but i cannot ask supplier for an adaptor as it’s an Amazon purchase.the black wire is ground, white wire is signal.
if you only have one connector, then it's a bit messy, you need to parallel up the two sets. Try first with one set to make it work then ask the supplier for an adapter to join two sets together.
yes, it'll work.If one works can i simply join them together with an AMP connector. Run 4 wires into 2 and into one plug?
Thanks Woosh. At first i thought that was the correct way to do it. Yes of course it is, silly me. Will try it out tomorrow.no, that's the wrong way.
You want red-red, blue-blue.
then join the red pair to the white wire on the controller side, blue pair to the black wire on the controller side.
Here, in the workshop, I would simply re-crimp the wires but you could use a small screw terminal block to join the wires.

Not only is it safer to have cut off brakes, its also extends the life of the battery, since it cuts power to moment you apply the break, It also means less breaking force to stop. Thanks Woosh. All fitted and working. Much much better to ride now. And so much safer, particularly when moving in small spaces. If you haven’t got them, get them fitted.
