The big financial players don't care about leaving.
Might mean moving investments and realigning where stock is held. You,ve only got to look at FTSE indices, they are doing very well.

FTSE 100 sets new record high and pound hits two-month low against euro as Conservatives' lead narrows in latest poll ...

Congratulations on the "John Wayne" style entrance, now you have stood in judgement on us mere mortals, are we going to benefit from your superior wisdom or is that all we are getting?
A pointless put down?
Reveal your true colours, warts and all if you must.

We welcome all sorts, as you can see by the approvals of your comment.
BTW. the plural of genius is geniuses, but being superior, you obviously knew that

Always a good source of news matters political, once again 'The Canary' draws attention to a matter unlikely to receive much coverage from the tory propaganda wing. This is about our current apology for a PM being in flagrant breach of the law:

court-appeal-just-ruled-theresa-may-broke-law-media-barely-reporting

Tom

Yet another slanted link..this quote lifted from a Canary follower in response to article.
"Why focus only on May? The horrible woman she is, she was not Home Secretary in 1998.These families were let down by consecutive British governments. We, on the Left, need to learn to be more objective and truthful otherwise we won't bring new converts to our cause."

The Canary and such do more harm than good to labour movement.
Their articles are more biased than Daily Mail but done with less thought ,intelligence and proper investigation.
Again blaming Teresa May for this is stetching point. Yes,the group have been treated poorly but have lived in better conditions than those they left with no threats to their lives.

The lady's response was put much better than I could have and hits the nail on the head. People can see slanted rhetoric nowadays, despite what you think about our population . The Canary comes over as radical, exaggerated and does not foster trust with many of its articles. Its poor media.

If Corbyn had any sense he would distance himself from Canary. Yes, they support him but do they do him any good ?
No,they do not.

Is there ever going to be a single day when you actually read something and understand what is going on?

You are as bad as the idiot you have quoted for opening the mouth before engaging brain
What was actually in the Canary article was absolutely correct!
"
Theresa May became involved in 2014 when, as Home Secretary, she refused to take legal responsibility for the families. And despite the fact that the families were granted refugee status, May argued that did not extend to the SBA. She therefore argued that the families had no right to resettlement in the UK.

On 12 May 2010, May was appointed Home Secretary and served for six years

Next time read before you comment, there's a good chap

And don't take that to heart,it was gentle humour...I'm guessing again in thinking your blood level started twitching at the idea of confrontation :)
Not really, I was hoping you had a view to express, one way or the other on the unfolding debacle.
I am actually a very placid person, just welcome debate

Exactly! If there's one thing I really hate about the internet, it's trolls and the only thing worse than a troll is a stupid troll - there is a village somewhere in troll-land missing its idiot and if the residents were to put out a number one might ring so it could be collected and returned from whence it came, I'd happily oblige.

That they haven't disseminated any kind of 'wanted' or 'missing person' notice that I'm aware of speaks volumes to me!

I didn't deny any of that at all, perhaps you should read the link and all the responses it fostered.
There is a reason other media hasn't run with story, that's a clue..
And as usual Tom has to insult.
To be fair I don't need to respond in kind, Tom's responses show exactly the type of person he is.
Rouge Rider has got OG,s character rather quickly, an impression no doubt very much reinforced with his last offering.

Ireland
Brexit coming by Stealth...
Not important in the great scheme of things, but interesting nonetheless... Up until last Wednesday I was able to access via a sky nowtv box content from the UK centre. while present in the republic of Ireland .. I was a grey user,.. in that I had always purchased passes , so not a sponger. There were limitations on the use of bbcplayer and much itv related content., But that was understood, I am was not paying for a BBC/ UK licence
Then they prevented access,to all content , and have opened an Irish access service.. at double the price. 15 euro compared to 7 stl. . The boxes, purchased in Northern Ireland will not access the Irish account and vice versa. I suspect that the firmware points the network access to a different IP address and never the twain shall meet.

Because someone in the household whose wishes must be obeyed is interested in a particular programme, I today purchased an Irish coded box and of course it works.

Interestingly the legal preamble on this new box states that UK courts are the arbitrators for a product which can only work in a different jurisdiction.
So a tangible Brexit consequence already.

Lifted this comment from Canary. It was in response to the slanted link.

" "Thereas May became involved in 2014 when, as Home Secretary, she refused to take legal responsibility for the families."

So what happened between 1998 and 2014?

Jack Straw, David Blunkett, Charles Clarke, John Reid, Jacquui Smith and Alan Johnson were all Home Secretary before Theresa May in 2010.

How odd there is no mention of them refusing to take responibility.

I,m fairly sure there are some Labour in there..."

And reply was from a Canary supporter/ contributor..

I assume folk have heard news from Egypt. 45 Christians shot for being christians. Where is this going to finish ?
