please read carefully so theirs no mix ups

so i had a new 250w / 1000w kit left from another project. also a 15am 48v rack battery. so i but it on a used medium carrera vulcan. the bikes in decent condition for its age.

the kits 250w or 1000w so when on the roads you discount a wire and your legal 9though the switch may not be legal) once you get off road reconnect the wire and you have lots of power. 5 levers of assist and a throttle.

any questions feel free to ask. cashon collection only please. a decent high powered electric bike.

looking for £600 so nice and cheep

You need to be honest on this one. Doesn't matter what way you paint it, it's not a legal bike with a switchable mode.

i always try to be honest. so i did some googerling and couldn't find much apart from several company's are selling these as legal. some are 250/1000w and other 250/500 wat. i also messaged 2 company's i bought them from and both claim in 250 mode there legal. but in 1000w mode is not legal. i also read the post on here. and what i got out of it is its the switch that is the issue. if it was in 250 mode without the switch then its legal. so a simple solution is to cut the witch wires of so its only 250w.

so ive change the avert and would always warn that the switch may not be legal. and the solution is cut the switch out. i'm even wondering is it worth doing that myself and just selling as a 250w to be safe.

The sellers are offering a product whether it is legal or not, at the end of the day it is the end user who will be punished if the legality is questioned.
The fact that it can support 1000w suggests it can run without issue to the internal workings and not get hot.

What is stamped on those motors, 250 W or 1000 W?

If it is marked as 250 W then it is a 250 W motor if there is a "magic" switch giving power X 4 is also illegal as per EN standards however in the same way dongles are.
