Just plugged my charger in for Eagle 16a battery. Came on ok but now has no lights on. So is charger broke or is it battery?. Now coming up for 7 yrs old so could be either. How can I check which it is

thanks

Sorry Gray had to dislike .
You can't come on ask a Q then say sorted without telling us the how and why, no matter how simple !!!.

Nealh yes sorry was not meant to be dismissive just thought I had sorted it. Put a new fuse in, which I should have done before posting and that seemed to work. However just been and checked and looks like fuse has gone again so there must be some sort of fault somewhere. Will have a good look at wiring tomorrow

If it's blowing a 13A fuse, that's some serious fault current. Surely that would be a 3A fuse wouldn't it?

13a fuse is normal for a charger to wall socket.
Does look like Gray has an issue and as he say's wiring first, assuming correct fuse was used.

Afraid I have been giving duff info here. I thought it was fuse because when I replaced it it came on, but on checking later it had gone off again so I assumed it had blown the fuse again. I went and checked again and tried it again after being off for a while , and it came on, so not the fuse. So am now wondering if there is some sort of overload or thermal cut out. Sorry about wrong info
