Thank god I read your post before buying. The swagtron EB5 ebike (https://swagtron.com/ebike/) fits in my trunk with no problem!

There's no problem fitting ebikes to tow-bar racks these days, and I'm not sure about the validity of OP's post as I've carried the same Oxygen bikes on my rack with no problems at all.
