Not as neat as the 8-Fun BBS-01 Frank, but a heck of a lot cheaper than a bish bash Bosch;)

Any news on your bafang BBS01 based crank drive kits Frank? Are you getting some high power ones soon?

That's the GNG kit. I did a review of it somewhere. Since my one, they added a bash-plate for off-road use, and they improved the waterproofing of the bearings in the jack-shaft. They also do a 60v version now with chain reduction on the left side for much higher power. The guys on ES did this modification on theie original ones, and some are going as high as 3kw. It's a very strong motor.

The video of the 48V version mounted on an Avanti D8 is amazing. The guy is nuts.
Why oh why GNG don't make a better housing for it?

I must be nuts as well, these are the sort of tracks I ride, well maybe not as fast at my age!

I think I'd wait for a review of the 750w Bafang. The GNG is not as refined, and you get chain oil on your trousers.
