Fried beyond repair? BBS01B

Hi,

My first attempt to build an e-bike failed miserably when I managed to switch the red-black wires. I ordered a new controller, and now I'm happy bikin' around. But.. the old controller, I would like to modify it with largers capacitors etc.. however, I opened it up, and the areas highlighted are burnt. Is there any way to test to see if the parts are still kicking, or is it fried beyond repair?

That’s just the obvious stuff ! Other components may die less obviously

Personally, I’d keep it for spares , almost certainly never use it, wait 5 to 10 years then throw it away

Probably within days of actually needing the damn thing !

That's crispy a full battery reverse might have damaged more than just the controller

Guess I was lucky, engine and all electronics works just fine
