Hi,

My first attempt to build an e-bike failed miserably when I managed to switch the red-black wires. I ordered a new controller, and now I'm happy bikin' around. But.. the old controller, I would like to modify it with largers capacitors etc.. however, I opened it up, and the areas highlighted are burnt. Is there any way to test to see if the parts are still kicking, or is it fried beyond repair?IMG_0817.jpeg

That’s just the obvious stuff ! Other components may die less obviously

Personally, I’d keep it for spares , almost certainly never use it, wait 5 to 10 years then throw it away

Probably within days of actually needing the damn thing !
