Halfords assist 20in wheel

Hi I have a halfords assist the small 20in wheel model 24v, had the bike for 3 years now and it's been great no problems at all I know it's just a cheap e bike but it has done the job brilliant just wonderd if it's possible to fit a throttle to this bike anyone of you technically minded people could offer any advise. It's definitely possible. The question is whether you're able to do it. First open up the compartment at the front of the battery to see if it has a spare 3-pin connector in there. Also, look to see whether the battery is connected directly to the controller by pins or whether the receiving pins are connected to the controller with two wires.
