Looking for some advice, we are looking to set up a small electric bike hire network in the Forrest of Bowland, northern Lancashire/Yorkshire border. This will be through some of the accommodation providers in the area.
Need advice on the best bike option to go for, price being a major consideration. But we will also need availability of spare parts and ideally dealer support. Have looked at a variety of bikes but the choice is bewildering.
Hire periods are likely to be just half days of so with no major distances but the area is hilly and is mainly on quiet country lanes, but also possibly on good surface bike tracks. Probably a step through design would be best.
Have looked at Giant and various Chinese imports, the front runner of these being cheap (sub £600) using a FUN8 front hub and 9ah Panasonic battery cells.
Any advice greatly received.
