Hub Kits With Integrated Controller

Hi, I'm looking at converting my good road bike and don't want a controller hanging from the top tube or anywhere else, that just looks a mess to me. Are there any light, integrated kits other than the Cytronex C1? That one seems OK, although the battery's a bit on the small side and not sure about front hub drive. At just over £1k seems rather expensive for what you get. Thanks.

Hello Crambie,

hiding the controller is easy, there are plenty of kits where the controller is placed inside the battery's cradle or the motor's housing.
the difficulty is how to hide the battery.
Perhaps a bespoke battery made with 3500mAH 18650 cells or 5000mAH 21700 cells would solve this for you.

You need a kit with a Hailong battery that has the controller integrated on the base fitting.

Hi, thanks for those comments. I don't mind a bottle size battery but would like it neater than a separate controller. I'll do a search for Hailong. Thanks.

BMSBattery sell the Dolphin/09 case intergrated controller for the base plate, it will fit any Dolphin battery sourced elsewhere though you have to buy the correct one for your intended voltage use as the 36v WILL NOT work with a 48v battery.

Thanks. That one looks like you have to use their square taper bb/torque sensor so a new chainset too for me. But it's still an option.
