I ride unpowered mountain bikes myself with a local club, around 30 or so miles with around 2000ft of climbing a week, I'm not obsessed but like to get out at least twice a week, with maybe bigger rides once a month, and the Scottish Staines twice a year.
so I am here under the guise of my wife's alien ocean bike that I may try and fix or replace dependant on what suggestions I get.
I hadn't realised when I bought it that it was simply a conversion, I just assumed it was built as an electric bike from day one. Two years on, I think the controller has popped, an I have already had to mod the battery as the switch broke, so it's now permanently wired...and more recently I swapped out the elec parts last October time to a newer bike, (same bike).
As I get older I will probably need to get some power myself, but for now it's for the boss
