http://cyclebike.ie/bike/cube-reaction-hybrid-hpa-pro-400-grey-flashred. €1999

http://cyclebike.ie/bike/cube-reaction-hybrid-hpa-race-500-blue-flashred €2499

Is there really €500 euro £400 ish worth of value

I understand the extra amps but my commute is 7.5 miles
granted uphill ,but the first bike should manage just aswell over 7 miles
Or would there be extra help to the motor over the journey on a particularily steep section
The more expensive bike has better specification on quite a few components, so it really depends how hardcore you are.

The cheaper bike will definitely be sufficient for your current commute.

Same power unit and the first one will manage that journey just as well. That small battery difference will make hardly any difference to performance. If the bike suits you might as well save the €500.

The first has SR Suntour XCR32 shock and 10speed SLX SHIMANO

The second rockshox air shock and 11 speed deore shimano

I havent bought a bike in 15 years so im not sure if these components are really worth the extra along with the extra battery

prices of those parts will not be very much tbh on either bike just have a look its not till you get sram and fox forks the price skyrockets.

id get the cheaper bike then you can upgrade it to what you want ;)

Thanks for the insight regarding the battery i taught maybe it would help the motor out with the extra juice
A larger battery can sometimes help with current delivery, but with quality batteries like those Bosch ones and the well managed power unit you probably wouldn't notice any difference.

170 pounds more for 500 Battery version though, nice to recharge less and have more range..... :)

Bike manufacturers are great at just giving subtle upgrades for 100 quid here and there
Im not up on all the components i tought maybe there was a night and comparison between rock shox and suntor or xt and deore

That could be a contender alright

Ktm are doing similar kit at similar prices like this 1

if you want decent front forks then you are looking at 600-1000 for 2017 ones.

To me thats a crazy amount for forks for a bycycle ,in saying that ive had motorbikes for years and wouldnt have tought twice about splashing that on a bit of bling
I cant see myself on hardcore trails or the likes so i think ill go for the lower end bike with the 500w battery
But you never know so i could be back here picking your brains about which fork upgrade to spend the hard earned on

But no Cx or Purion
I never spotted no cx good point
Purion ? Would this be a deal breaker is it not just a display ,does it control at same speeds and power levels as previous models
Or does it come part and parcel with the cx motor

The ride of a Purion bike will be the same and it can come with any Bosch motored bike, depending on what the bike maker specifies.

It's less vulnerable to damage than Intuvia and Nyon, which is a benefit to those mountain bikers who see falling off as an occupational hazard.

For your use, the extra space on the handlebars may be handy if you want to fit lights, a Garmin or any other gadgets.

They are a tidy little display in fairness

Ive seen little wiring kits and magnet kits for about £100-£150 that uncork the 25km Or 15mph restrictor will these work with latest displays
