When Sir Clive Sinclair sees these recumbent trikes belting along with rear wheel motors, he must think back to the C5 and think, "Drat, I was so close!"

bet you had fun now come on more info please
The powabyke was pretty much stock parts, with quite a few small modifications for the day. I drilled some holes in the motor to improve the cooling, added an extra lead brick on the rear rack to give 48 volts, and made a small modifcation to the controller to let the motor see a few extra amps. When I got the bike the motor was broken and I've had to dissassemble/rebuild lots itof times to get it working properly. I've got quite a few pics now and I'll try to get it written up as a sort of amateur servicing guide. Its quite an interesting motor.

Steve's KMX was something else altogether, 72 volt 13ah nimh pack with crystalyte 408 motor. I had to pedal like mad just to keep it from disappearing out of camera shot!

try this as the next step:eek:
:D I'd love one of them and yeah 15 mph cutout would suck:D
