Hi, I just bought a rechargeable angle grinder from lidl it has a 2ah 20v battery pack.
I had a look inside the battery pack, and there are five green 18650 cells.
So are these 4000mah cells. 4000x5 2ah ?
Thanks for any comments.
Andy.

its a 5s pack so 20v for 5 sells in series to make the voltage and 2ah per cell, if that.

so at 2ah @20v it wont last 5 mins so keep the receipt

No, they are 2000mAH cells.
it should really be described as 18V 2ah. You'd need 4 packs to be of any use on an e-bike, 10-packs to get to the common 36V 10AH.
As SW said, if you bought it for your e-bike, the receipt will come in handy.

Or again. The 5 are in series so voltages add, current capacity stay the same. .. if these are 2000mAhr cells their capacity is 2Ahr. .
A fully charged battery cell will be 4.1 to 4.2 v, and a fully depleted one 3.2. so the peak voltage out will be 21 volts and the minimum before cutout 16volts. The average voltage about 18 volt . The energy stored approx. 36 watt hrs.
In human terms , a body burns around 200 watts , just lieing around, and can do useful work indefinitely (hours on end )at .150 watts .. much more maybe up to 1000w for short periods... So putting an extra energy of 36 watthr at arm's reach is not shabby.

Lidl use these 20v packs for pistol drills, circular saws angle grinders.
I have the angle grinder and saw and they aren't bad.
They seem to be decent 2000ah cells and 5 for 11 quid isn't bad.
I can't see them selling crap batterys or theres going to be a lot of returns.

you don't run your angle grinder or circular saw or drill for hours non stop. Most people don't even use their drill more than a couple of hours in a year. Then it will be time to get a new pack.
E-bikes need very good batteries because it's a transport.
