Good joke but I suspect it's the power meter that he's put inline with the charger that's causing the problems. My iphone 7 plus charges first time every time. Mind I do have to use either Apple or Apple-approved cables which is annoying. Those cables though do seem to be good quality and even exposed to torrential rain on the bike show no signs of corrosion or stopping working unlike cheaper ones I tried.
