Hi. I have been planning of converting my calibre twotwo with a £500 kit from woosh but have also been looking at complete bikes for not much more.

Just cant decide if a kit will be a better bet or one of these -

http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/electric-bikes/carrera-vulcan-electric-mountain-bike Which I can get for £700 new at the moment

http://greenwaycycles.co.uk/electric/157-electric-mountain-bike-7426818350541.html which is £840 and has a Bewo mid drive.

Just wondering if anyone has either of the 2 bikes and an opinion on them.

Carrera ebikes suffer from a cutting out problem which Halfords seem unable to cure, so you would be taking a chance on getting a reliable one.

Greenway buy a few pallets of bikes, flog 'em, and the same model is rarely seen again.

I've never heard of the Bewo motor so cannot comment about it, but support and spares back up will be non-existent, especially after a month or two when Greenway will have sold every one they have.

A Kudos bike - they do mountain styles - would at least come with some back up.

You can buy Bewo mid motor kits online and Woosh can repair them from what I read on here. Thing is they are only a few hundred quid more than fitting a kit and even the kits are all chinese at end of day.

Would love to get a top spec Bosch MTB but not got the funds unfortunately.
