"STR (Simulated Torque Response) is Outrunner’s proprietary system that makes your effort count for more. You pedal — and the harder you pedal the more help Outrunner’s electric power systems responds to assist your effort. It is amazingly exciting and a very natural feeling."

I'd love to know how that works. it doesn't show any sort of pedal sensor. I hope it doesn't work on cadence. you know, the faster you pedal, the more assist you get. That's diabolical. Normally, you want something that gives more power, the less you pedal, otherwise uou get half-way up the hill, your legs get tired and then the motor reduces its power too, which is why torque multiplier systems don't make sense either.

ah, the roller on the tyre trick again,

Cons:
accelerated tyre wear,
roller on tread noise,
wet or muddy tyre situation

save your money and buy a proper hub/mid kit.
.... You forgot to add double the rolling resistance power loss.

They never have the sound on when showing this type of drive, they don't half make a noise.

I'd like one for my Birdy, but it's the noise that puts me off.
