Has anyone any experience of the Roux electric bike ? - looks like a road/greenway trail sort of machine with quite fat tyres.

The bad points are that it has pretty crappy freewheel gears, cable brakes and only a 6.6Ah battery. The range of 50 miles is a figment of somebody's imagination. 15 miles would be more like it. Compared with other bikes of similar spec., I'd say that £900 would be a more realistic price.

The Oxygen S-cross MTB doesn't cost much more and it has hydraulic brakes, cassette gears and a 14Ah battery for not a lot more, plus, you can be pretty sure that the Oxygen can go a lot faster. The Oxygen is a long established brand with proven reliability. I know which I'd buy.

For someone who bought one before looking on here.....how would I go about de restricting it? It’s a nice enough bike, would just like a little more oomph out of it.
