Last year, 100 cyclists died on UK roads and 470 pedestrians were killed, an increase of 5%.

Would it be too extreme to have prison sentences for drivers killing cyclists and pedestrians if their responsibility is engaged? I mean real time in prison not suspended sentences. And communicate about this to drivers letting them know that if they kill someone and it is their fault they will go to jail.

3rd party/ vulnerable users safety training should be compulsory for all who hold a driving licence and not just the few who think they can save a few quid.
