The Cycle Show is coming in about 4 weeks. Will we see the new Wispers there? Who's all going to the Cycle Show apart from me?

Hi Dave, we will certainly be there and it looks like we will have all 4 bikes available, with the Alloy bikes available to test ride too.

The only bike that concerns me a little is the Alloy Wildcat, The frames were finished yesterday and will be painted tomorrow. So everything crossed they will be here in time.

All the best,

David

Well they finally arrived just in time for the show. The buzz around the bikes was amazing. We are all very excited and hope to make the bikes available in the shops by next February. Here are some detail shots of the Wisper Wildcat Carbon.

Here are a few images of the carbon bikes. Surprisingly these are by far the most popular, we have now sold our first full container of Wildcat and Wolf bikes both in carbon.

I don't like the exposed cables underneath and in front of the Wildcat's motor housing.
The brake and rear mech cables were exited there because we needed to take them out of the frame before they reached the chain stays. On the Wolf we could fit the cables through the frame into the stays as they are not active.

I should also say that the Wolf also has a motor guard in the production run.

All the best, David

These bikes look really nice and good spec for the price. Would look even better sat in the Powerbikes showroom. Hopefully we can get some in in the near future.

Imho they look nice enough and spec ok, but just can't help think the battery looks like an after thought and price point still seems high for this brand in the market place. Still the more competition the better.

Thanks Steve, the battery question was a big one. On the carbon bikes we needed to keep the batteries on frame rather than in frame and it then followed that we should use the same on all 4 bikes. We have sold a lot of bikes already into the trade and their preference has generally been the carbon models.

Interestingly most of the bikes have been ordered with two 506Wh batteries. Dealers have been of the opinion that a hard day's mountain biking would use a good 1kW and on-frame batteries are very easy to swap over midday.

All the best, David

Prices from £3K+ to £6K do look high.

I don't doubt the bikes are good spec, but I reckon it will be a hard ask to get buyers to pay as much - or more - for a Wisper than for established eMTB brands such as Trek and Haibike.

Then there's the possibility of the Chinese factory doing what some Chinese factories do - dumping identical unbranded bikes onto the market at half the price.

Hopefully, David has that side of it covered.

My thoughts exactly. It would have to offer something special over say Haibike / Cube. I suppose brands have to start somewhere, but it's a big investment in brand / frame vs established larger brands.
