Even Halfords offer that service, and they are not exactly top of the league in that regard.

I totally agree John.

The problem has now been resolved at ETS, there seems to have been a little bit of miscommunication.

You know my views on service, good after sales service in imperative for the wellbeing of customers and a happy customer remains a customer for ever.

David,

Can I squirm my way into this offer. I think you have the risk that others will to and we cannot expect you to do everything FOC so I acknowledge you may have to set a limit somewhere!!!

If the offer is still on for a brake lever, shall I send my details via email or should I do it through ETS in Cambridge

The problem is simply the travel on the brake lever is not enough to operate the disk brakes to everyones satisfaction. The fulcrum of the lever is only about 15mm from the cable. We have now changed the brake lever to give over twice as much cable travel and this has cured the problem.

We have upgraded the whole braking system on the latest models.

If anyone needs a new brake lever let me know and I will put some spares on the next container.

I've just had one of the new batch of bikes delivered and the front brake action is still poor, if I pull the lever to the grip the bike slows gently. Is there a way I can tell if I have the right lever?
I also notice that the disk isn't central in the caliper but the adjustment is as far as it can go, is there a way to sort this?
I'd rather do this myself as I want to do my own maintenance and the shop is a pain to get to.

Hi Guys

As you know we have had a few issues with brakes.

The problems have now been resolved however there are a few bikes out there that obviously need to have some attention and we will obviously be happy to sort out any issues you may have.

Would anyone with concerns please email Doug on doug.gosling@wisperbikes.com he will be happy to help.

Yesterday while cycling to work, a loud noise started coming from the front wheel. It sounded like the front brake was rubbing against the wheel.

I got off the bike to have a look but I couldnt see any way to fix the problem.

The noise is now intermittent but I can tell the brakes are still rubbing.

Is this easy to sort out? I have no idea what to do.

Help!

Thanks

Kam

I have just fitted Goodridge cables to my Wisper this weekend and the difference is huge, I can now adjust the Promax caliper easily and it works very well. The Goodridge set is expensive (£18) but I now have a fully sealed Teflon system that should last ages, unlike a few other kits this one came with enough outer sheath for the continuous rear run and spares are available as individual parts.

Mussels, do I take it that you have kept the original brake and have just changed the cable?

Can you give a link to the cable you bought.

Thanks
