Performance Line CX

A new Performance Line CX motor delivers a clearly noticeable increase in performance, now with 75Nm of maximum torque. The size of the drive unit has been reduced, with a smaller housing and has a rugged powder coating. This new motor should provide even more powerful acceleration and hill climbing ability with support from 50-300%. Trail control and Gear Change Control help reduce the stress on the chain/cassette during gear changes.

A Bosch press statement previously announced this would be a drive unit designed: “primarily for manufacturers and e-bikers who value a clean, technical look, perfect integration with additional ground clearance and an optimized weight.” Saving 200g of weight, company have termed the result a “naked bike.”

New PowerPack 500 Battery

The Bosch e-bike battery has previously been available in 300Wh and 400Wh variants and they have now introduced the new PowerPack 500 delivering 500Wh of power. The shape is the same as current versions and can be fully charged in around 4.5 hours, or 50% in under 2 hours.

Nyon

The 4.3″ colour all-in-one onboard computer and navigation system has been updated with many new features. The Nyon, Nyon App and eBike-Connect Portal now have the ability to integrate up to ten waypoints in the route planning and place them directly on the map.

A new routing function specifically for those interested in off-road has been developed, which selects trails that are particularly suited for eMTBs.  New topographic features will allow you to see conditions such as inclines and surfaces, as well as an exact indiction of altitude. This information is combined with current riding behaviour in order to give you a more accurate remaining range shown on the display.

eShift

Bosch eShift with Nuvinci

eShift is an electronic gear shifting technology which has been developed in conjunction with the leading gearshift manufacturers including, Shimano, SRAM and Fallbrook (NuVinci).  There are 3 versions available with NuVinci offering a continuously variable automatic gear shifting as well as a 9-speed manual mode. Shimano Di2 and Bosch will offer a Auto-Downshift function when stopping at a traffic lights, and the SRAM DD3 Pulse hub can now be shifted manually with eShift.
