    Cheaper bike

I can certainly attest to the functionality of the impulse 2 shift sensor system, which eliminates the described problem. I would urge anyone sufficiently curious to go and try one out themselves - no crunching of gears, just smooth changes. Recommended!

    Britons first TDF stage winner

Don't waste your time worrying about these types, they haven't enough intellect to realise the flaws in their (currently held) views: Oh, wad some Power the giftie gie us, Tae see oorsel's as ithers see us! Look 'em up in twenty years time, they might have learned something by then.

Bosch battery problem. Is me or the bike?

No issues of this type with our Impulse Kalkhoffs, happy to report.

New kalkhoff impulse endeavor 350 w.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying anything else, but I'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Endeavour, it is just a great bike IMO, and there's bags of autonomy, covered +40 km oer hill & dale here the other day, with juice still left in the battery, has really turned me back...

    Unmodded Pro connect then?

    26 Inch-wheeled Pedelec

I might be wrong but I think both the Bosch and Kalkhoff motors and controllers are made in Germany, (okay, I know, but really, the Greeks/ Irish/Portuguese/Spanish, etc., need their money more than the Chinese need ours), says the arch Eurosceptic!

    26 Inch-wheeled Pedelec

No, sorry, I think you're you'll be looking for 'Purplehaze1969', not, I think a reference to the speed of his maroon bike, either, ha ha ha! Just a canny Aberdeenshire loon, wha'd like to remind you of Ruskin's words on value and price: "When you pay too much, you lose a little money; that...

    26 Inch-wheeled Pedelec

Go for broke and shell out on the Endeavour, the Impulse 2 10 speed is the boy, and can tackle the windy hills of Aberdeenshire without a murmur, so Shetland should not bother it, serious autonomy from the big battery too. You'll not regret it, but of course keep using it 'offroad', in case the...

    working it out!

Thanks for this Rachel, in the end we went for Kalkhoffs, I got an Impulse 2 Endeavour 10 spd and the boss got herself an Impulse Agattu, loving them both. Both Pedal assist only too. I feel I could go to 46T (bike comes with 44T ring) on the front chainring, as I am spinning out at 31.5mph, and...

    Best electric bikes under 2000

You'd get a 17Ah battery Kalkhoff Impulse bike for that kind of money, giving you greater autonomy and a top spec bike. Look at the Pro Connect series. The combination of a 'sorted' motor, with a powerful battery, all in a quality bike and all within budget should not be overlooked. The shift...

LMK if you're ever in the NE, very welcome to try out the Kalkhoff Impulse Endeavour 10 speed, or the Agattu i8.

Very Bright Very Cheap Light runs from battery

Noted, and I agree totally re the convenience aspect of running it off the bike battery, the other light's pro point is because it has its own power supply it can be (very readily) removed and used on different bikes, or with the supplied headband as a hands free head torch. I re-discovered the...

Very Bright Very Cheap Light runs from battery

Managed to set up my light of the recommendation in this thread, but have to say I'll be sticking to the (admittedly considerably dearer, at £24) 3x Cree XML T6 ...
