    Ultra reflective cycling jerseys?

Hmmm yeah good point, just needs someone to figure out how to get that reflective effect on Lycra style clothing. A jacket over a base layer should be okay for me while it's cold I suppose.

    Ribble E-Bike

Do Ribble do test rides? I'm not that far from their shop, I'm assuming they'll have some of their electric bikes available.

    Ribble E-Bike

Out of interest did you buy this bike? I'm also very interested in it, just trying to convince employer to do a cycle to work scheme (ideally one like GCI that would cover the full cost!)

    Ultra reflective cycling jerseys?

Has anyone seen any ultra reflective cycling jerseys (not jackets)? On my way home tonight I came across someone with a fantastically reflective jacket, and since a woman had just come very close to running me over having clearly not seen me, despite bar mounted and helmet headlights, I had to...

    Bosch Powerpack 400 losing capacity

I remember asking a similar question last year for my own Bosch battery! Because of the dependence on your own effort it is very hard to judge battery degradation unfortunately, but certainly my range recovered over this summer, before once again dropping over the last couple of weeks. My best...

    First confrontation.

I've still yet to experience a properly negative reaction from any cyclist. I did once have a car driver shout 'get a real bike you xxxx...', to which I shouted back that it was closer to a real bike than his. There's definitely a few roadies that won't acknowledge a nod of the head, but not...

    Cube Reaction Hybrid HPA SL500

Updating to reflect 18 months / 4000 miles of ownership... Not long after my last update, I got a bit annoyed by the gearing (16t front ring). Was barely using the lower gears and running out of gearing down hills. So I've upgraded to a 20t. The original cassette was fairly well worn after...

    When to replace tyre?

Haven't got an alternate tyre. Didn't want to have to drive my car to work [emoji23] Sent from my Power_3 using Tapatalk

    When to replace tyre?

Ok thanks all, I'll get a new tyre ordered. Definitely looks too dodgy to ride on. Sent from my Power_3 using Tapatalk

    When to replace tyre?

Hit a kerb too hard on my commute today, and when checking the tyre, it's got a definite lump, and after dismantling it, looks like the outer layer of casing has started to come apart at the bead. Is this time to replace the tyre? FYI it's done 3000 miles, but as you can see plenty of tread...

    Saddle sore

Actually mine is pretty similar style to soundwave's. It's a fairly big gel saddle with the cut out down the middle. But I've used gel saddles without a cut out before and I'm not convinced the gel actually helps. Sent from my Swift 2 X using Tapatalk

    Saddle sore

Have you tried the sort with a big hole in the middle? I've tried saddles from very soft and padded to narrow and hard, and found them all much of a muchness, until my current one with the cut out down the middle. It's way better than others I'd tried. However the front is more or less worn...

    2018 ORBEA GAIN

I'm also thinking of getting one of those bikes - currently ride a Bosch CX mid-motor, on a 42 mile round trip commute. Very pleased with the motor performance but want something lighter and faster. I can do the round trip using under half the 500Wh battery when I want to, so the 250Wh should...

Range on a New 500mAh Bosch

Those speeds are more achievable on a weekend leisure ride, where you choose a nice cycling route through the countryside with hardly any stopping. I've never managed over 16.4 on my commute, but I'm frequently up around 17-18 mph average over the first 8 miles as I don't hit traffic lights...

Range on a New 500mAh Bosch

Yeah I'm hoping to build up to using a regular road bike (in fact was looking at a Ribble R872 on offer this weekend). I'm only 37 but three kids means I'd struggle to get the time to build cycling fitness for a 44 hour round trip any other way. The bike commute adds nearly three hours of...
