    Cyclamatic???

I’ve just fixed one of my older BH Neo’s up, which means I’ll be flogging 1 1/2 upgraded Cyclamatics next week. In Derby. I think there’s 3 batteries between them, 1 fully working bike and 1 with a bent crank. I just want rid really - it took almost a year for me to find the time to fix my Neo.

    Pondering a fork upgrade...

I've replaced the suntour forks that came fitted to my BH Neo Xtrem and 29er with Rockshox Rebas, for both bikes. I noticed a huge difference - front end much lighter and more control in corners. I suppose it depends where you plan to cycle. I notice most benefit when on rough, winding tracks...

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Yes, I'm stuck now, sadly. I've been away on holiday for just over a week, and used a back up bike for the Mrs, with 20 wheels, which wasn't ideal. I'm thinking the torque sensor and control system on the BH may not be happy with the CST. I suppose I will strip the control system down...

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Hi guys, well my 500w Bafang CST arrived today from Spain. Unfortuntely I've had limited success, and would really appreciate any advice. I've swapped the cassette, tyre, inner tube and brake disc from the old assembly to the new. The connector seems identical. I can get it to power up in...

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Although, I have to say I quite fancy one of these: http://www.ciclotekstore.eu/b2c/producto/9822033/2/nitro-e-bike-motor-kit-48v-without-battery- I had a Neo Nitro a couple of years back, which was a real barn stormer. My mrs left the back garage door open however, and it got stolen one...

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Just a quick question please before I order this: http://www.ciclotekstore.eu/b2c/producto/2201238/2/bpm-motor Do we think this would work on with the existing controller on my Neo 29er? I see no reason why not, but 300 euros is not a small sum.

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Many thanks for your replys guys, they are very appreciated. I have been busy at work, and have only just come back to looking at this yesterday. I wanted to strip the motor down to try and work out what is wrong with it, but have had no luck with cracking the casing. I'm left with this...

BH Emotion 29er, motor advice needed please

Hi chaps, long time no speak - hope everybody has been well. Long story short, one of my BH Emotion bikes has a fubar'ed hub motor. A couple of years ago I was getting on well with the UK distributor, who was based in Stoke, but they seem to have now vanished? I cannot find who distributes BH...

    2014 KTM Macina Race 29 - ex Demo bike - £1399

I had my neo nitro nicked out of my garage last weekend, so I'm in the market for something like this. This looks like a great buy, would I have to collect? If so, where from? I'm in Derby.

    BH Emotion Neo Jumper tuning

Yes, no dongle as such for the Neo's. 48v Nitro battery gives you 35 - 38 kph with a lot more noise and reduced range. It's not really worth the trade off IMHO. Neo Nitro gets you 46 - 50 kph, which can get you into trouble in a number of ways. I've found fitting slimmer, non knobbly tyres...

    The dongle re-visited

Which is pretty much how I feel it myself actually. It's risky where some people may draw the line though, and the concequences of that. Interestingly, my BH Neo Xtrem seems to assist up to 32kph with lots of peddling. Any quicker than that and I really do feel in many circumstances I'd be...

    The dongle re-visited

But these vehicles are not allowed on canal tow paths and other spaces shared with pedestrians, dogs, small children. And they are very noisey - you can hear them coming from far away and react. This is the big difference with 30 mph pedlecs, they are an accident waiting to happen. I've said...

    The dongle re-visited

The main difference to what has gone before, what is a new risk, is that electric bikes are much quieter than scooters and motorbikes, and they are allowed in places motorbikes aren't - cycle lanes, etc. Did anybody bother to watch the German youtube item I posted a few pages back? My concern...

    The dongle re-visited

Yawn. I'm with KTM in this one - use of ebikes is growing, so it stands to reason that we are going to see more selfish speed freaks (sadly I fall into this group) who aren't satisfied until they see 30 ish mph out of these things. I see threads about increasing speed time and time again on ES...
