Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

Anyway I have to go out as one battery was charged fully last Friday and I need it down to 3 bars if I decide not to go out for longer in case the weather is too vile- looks like 2 degrees and northerlies...Mind you the townies dog walking areas are all drive to places in general- and it seems...

Putting e-bike to bed for the duration of C-virus.

I've stayed in and around the house for a week, but I'm socially isolated 365 days a year in the middle of the Highlands so I'm going out tomorrow...."one exercise" a day as far as the new guidelines go...2 batteries/5 hours should do it...luckily that can be done without being seen- as it...

    MudStop and Motors

Thanks for that Pete- maybe another showing fitting of the crankshaft seal would be good too? I fitted Lauras one and used a piece of wire 1mm wide (the really stiff wires that they seal your main 100A fuse in your electrical cupboard to show it hasn't been tampered with and has no rough...

I truly love E-MTB... this has opened my eyes to the world I live in big time.... Ian stays in Nairn (which is good for biking too) and says I am a lucky bugger....yes, I'll concede that.... days like yesterday are so rare though- it was the lack of wind on the summit that made it magical and...

    EX-1 Cassette on Ebay....opinions please??

Thanks BazP... I'll bear it in mind though as I really have no idea how a transition to Shimano from SRAM will go.... it was a kind offer and in very good faith I know, and maybe if I'd thought it through I shouldn't have made the cynical/ sarcastic post.... sorry..... Laura has the same set up...

    EX-1 Cassette on Ebay....opinions please??

Jeez didn't mean to offend ya BazP.... For a second set of wheels EX1 is overkill for road use. As you yourself know the gearing is too low and too spaced. I'm putting my EX1 into deep storage, at least for the winter. I got a 10 speed Deore Shadow + mech, zee 640 shifter and an 11-42T all steel...

    New wheels

The DT Swiss wheels, RT86'S rotors and Eddy Currents arrived....2.8" are monster compared to the rather shabby looking 2.35" nobby nics.... mega grip but what will happen to the battery?

    EX-1 Cassette on Ebay....opinions please??

Yes Eddie I think that routine care with them is the order of the day- cleaning the drivetrain even with rags and brushes then lubing after each ride and a regular thorough clean as often as you can will work wonders- the jockey wheels don't half seem to accumulate crud I've found- even with...
