    Stolen: Red 2005 specialized epic pro bafang mid drive (Rotherham)

    Not exactly a modern bike but the buggers had it away from a sheffield bike stand in Rotherham outside of work today between 8:30 and 12:00. Angle grinder job through 18mm kryptonite New York lock. Didn't get the battery at least. Had some nice Easton UST wheels secured with pinlock skewers...

    Its a xipi silent wing kit on an iron horse full suspension MTB I had lying around. Used a freeload rack (New Zealand company) to mount the battery in a topeak mtx bag instead of a rucksack as I'd originally planned. Not sure of actual speed as its got no instrumentation! But it seems comparable...

    Just received my brand new bike from 50cycles, impressed with the cable layout, general build quality and the HMI. Hopefully going to go for a test ride either later tonight or tomorrow morning. Reason for buying: The main reason for buying a pedalec is to do my 12 mile each way commute...
