For what? The dealer was only upset with me because I had got the bikes from Kudos for £350 less than he was advertising. He gave me the Kudos brochure with the 'top quality' specifications.

The bikes are fitted with cups and bearing bottom brackets not Shimano. The dealer suggested fitting a Shimano cartridge bearing for £42. I did NOT expect an upgrade from Kudos but felt they did not live up to the 'top quality' and 'Shimano gearing' billing.

If you read the whole thread you will get the information you need and see that I do not have an 'expert'. It was the opinion of a Kudos agent wanting to sell me a Shimano BB for the one he considered of poor quality originally fitted to the Kudos Sports ebike.

Thanks to everyone for the advice and legal update. I was worried because mine were sold with 'Twist and Go'. I think I will have to disengage the throttles when I travel throughout the rest of Europe.

Before you buy read the above directive to decide whether you want a bicycle or a moped.An 'engineer' is advising buying a bike with a throttle but if you do you will be buying a moped [power-on-demand e-bike]and require a driving license, insurance and would need to wear a crash helmet.

We are not talking about size, it is the low quality of the BB.

How does your curiosity help anyone? An engineer is a trained and qualified mechanic.
