Think about buying a Yose power need help guys

In which case you have a choice. Buy a 350w kit that you can set the speed limit to what you want, knowing it is illegal, or get an e-moped with road tax, insurance etc. You can set the speed and throttle with the Yose 350w kit. I have 250w and 350w Yose kits and was very pleased with both of...

    Applying Stickers to Hub Motor

I bought some of these on ebay:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/305947801091?var=605222638248 Correct spelling and EN number. They've been on 3 hubs for about 6 weeks now and still there. One has survived a good soaking (rain and a wash down).

    Fitting yose power

You shouldn't burn out the controller in a standard Yosepower kit. It might get a bit warm if going very slowly up a steep hill. The answer to that is to keep the speed up to above around 8mph - change down a gear or two and pedal harder! Slight inclines should be no problem in any setting. I...

Think about buying a Yose power need help guys

Since I posted that comparison I am pleased to say all three are still going strong without any major problems, although I've upgraded two of them (28" 250w. cassette and 26" 350w. freewheel) with KT controllers. "Out of the box" the Yose 250w rear cassette is completely legal and a slightly...

    Woosh Revisiting my first conversion

You should be able to use the 8 speed cassette and set it up with the derailleur limit screws to just use 7 gears, or use a 7 speed cassette with a spacer ring on the inside.

    Fitting yose power

That looks like a 6-speed freewheel. Instead of unscrewing the complete unit you have removed the lock ring and inadvertently disassembled it - hence the ball bearings falling out. The part that is still on the wheel needs removing anticlockwise. There is a video here about removing...

A new kit is on the block

I asked Yosepower a while ago about the AKM95 motors that they supply. They said their 95RS 350w freewheel motor is 230rpm with 4.4 gear ratio. Their 95RX 350w cassette motor is 240rpm with 8.15 gear ratio. The 95RX 250w cassette motor is 205 rpm with 8.15 ratio. From that I concluded that RX...

    Yose power

Yosepower kits are very good value for money. I fitted 250w. and 350w. rear kits on my bikes. The 250w. is restricted to the legal 15.5mph and throttle to 6km. Top speed and throttle can be configured on the 350w. Top speed was in the region of 23mph, although I don't ride that fast anyway. In...

    Help! Sudoo or soodoo

It looks like the display in the kit is LCD5, but they sell others separately. I just bought the controllers and got an LCD3 and the new KT-TF01 from Topbikekit - mainly because their KT displays have a longer waterproof connector cable than from others - which suits my handlebars better. I...

    Help! Sudoo or soodoo

I bought my KT controllers from PSW power:- https://www.pswpower.com/products/kt-kunteng-electric-bicycle-motor-ebike-controller-24v-36v-48v-250w-500w-1000w-brushless-dc-sine-wave-sensor-controller-331 The waterproof Julet plug versions have a 3-pin plug for rear and brake lights. I have...

Hydraulic disc brakes with ebike cutout

I bought a set of Zoom HB-775E hydraulic brakes from Aliexpress. These come with cut-out sensors already fitted. https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006310208557.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.15.7a431802qOlrON&gatewayAdapt=glo2vnm The above is just a random link as I can't access my...

    Comfort on long rides

The Boardman appears to have a longer stem, which will make the reach longer and make the handling different. You could swap the stems over and see how it feels then?

Yose Power Hub- need a new rim!

I'll be very interested to see what the forks are like. Been searching for a 26" wheel rigid disc fork with a 1" steerer for some time without success.

Yose Power Hub- need a new rim!

Yes, I am consciously aware that fitting a hub motor accelerates rim wear when using rim brakes. Unfortunately the bike I mentioned above is a 90's Giant steel framed MTB so I'm stuck with v-brakes. I deliberately use the front brake only most of the time as it's easier to replace the front...

Yose Power Hub- need a new rim!

I'm running 26" x 2" Schwalbe Big Apple tyres on one of my bikes that has a Yosepower rim on the rear and a 19mm front rim. Pressures for both at 35psi and not had any problems in over 500miles. Easily the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden.
