Battery or charger problem - advice please

I may as well add here, as it may be useful to others - it is highly unusual (apart from known problems as above) for a charger to be faulty. If you get any sort of display (lights) on the charger, then you can 99% eliminate that as the cause of the problem. Nearly all charging problems are...

    want a new ebike for £70 buy a .............

Good luck to you all I say:D You don't know the half of it;) You'd probably need £40k and a good Chinese speaker just for starters:p

6 speed to 7 speed conversion

You'll find that the 7 speed block (freewheel) isn't much wider than the 6spd anyway. They get progressively narrower spaced as the amount of cogs increases. Hence why 8/9 spd chains are made narrower to fit in there!

How many electric bikes do you see out on the roads?

I rode up behind a woman with VERY skimpy shorts on a couple of days ago. Looked at her first of all, then as I rode past I had to look away because it wasn't a pleasant sight - and that was because of HER old age:o

    Insecurity feature

The clamp is just a bracket to hold it in place while you aren't using it actually ;) When you want to use it, just unhook it from the clamp and wrap it around whatever takes your fancy :) Sold many of them in my time :p

    Pedelec sensor rings

Ah, no, it wouldn't measure the top speed cut out speed, if that's how you mean :) Just that it does measure the pedal revolutions and outputs the speed accordingly, whether slow revs/max assistance or fast revs/max assistance :)

    Pedelec sensor rings

The magnet sensor does measure the speed of the pedalling, but only in 4 or 5 increments, and it reaches top power output pretty quickly, so unless you are pedalling about 5 Mph or less, it will mostly be telling the controller to put out max power. You need to keep the magnets evenly spaced...

    Torq II?

'lower price' and 'front disc' that actually works don't really go together! Cable operated discs are just not really worth having. They are getting better than they used to be, but still not really any better than a decent set of V-brakes. The only way to go would be hydraulic discs, which...

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

The batteries aren't available seperately at the moment, as we only have a relatively small batch and anticipate the bikes selling well as there is a lot of interest (had a few pre-ordered anyway). I don't want to get your hopes up Mr Butcher because it may not be any time soon, but they should...

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

Ah, BUT.... ;) Trouble is, I can't do a relaxing ride, being used to aggressive riding since for ever - it was a real struggle not pedalling while using the throttle, and then once the power had run out, I had to start riding like I would my racing bike!!

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

Thanks! Thats what I would have put earlier if my brain wasn't recovering from a sweaty ride and could have strung the sentence together in undertstandable terms.....I decided against it though :)

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

True, this won't suit speed-freaks! But it will suit the majority of 'regular' customers who want assistance for a long range and low weight :) I'll get that pic to you tomorrow Russ :) Thanks!

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

Yes, these are slightly higher voltage. 24v batts run up to higher than 24v anyway, so a 26v isn't much of a difference. It did feel slightly quicker though :) I did ride most of the 10 miles or so after I'd run out of juice, and it wasn't difficult even with my current lack of fitness! By...

    PowaCycle Salisbury/Windsor Lithium Polymer

We have just had a new Lithium Polymer battery in for our Salisbury and Windsors. The bikes can be ordered with the current NiMH battery or the new Lithium Polymers and come with the relevent charger. I have just been for a ride on one and managed around 23 miles with practically no pedal...
