Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Unfortunately not :(. After testing it with a new front caliper as well as different spacers, it still did the same thing. I've decided to just give up trying to fix it myself and am taking it to a bike shop on Saturday. It could probably do with a general looking over tbh. Thanks everyone...

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Ah, okay. I thought it did seem a bit of a bigger gap than I've seen in some photos online. I'm not sure if it's definitely clamping the steerer. I'll give that a try tomorrow (well, later today). Thanks for your kind offer, but it'll be easier for me to just get some spacers and cheap...

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

I've tried that but it doesn't move. Done it, see my reply to Waspy. I wish it would have been something as straightforward as that, but unfortunately not.

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

I don't think the forks can be adjusted. They're only compressing in the video because of how I'm pushing the bike.

    40psi, the recommended pressure.

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

I can only detect the tiniest bit of movement, the amount I'd expect for anything to be able to move freely. 5mm.

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Here's a short video of what's happening: https://streamable.com/1zj0s8 Seconds 0-4: With the front brake lever pressed, I'm pushing the bike back and forward from the handlebars. Seconds 6-10: With front and rear brake levers pressed, I'm pushing the bike back and forward from the handlebars.

Thanks, I'll check those out (hopefully after I fix this first).

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Unfortunately I haven't actually ridden the bike yet... was hoping to get this final issue sorted first. As far as I can tell, the pads are fitted and adjusted correctly. This is my first experience with mechanical disk brakes and they are annoying me already! (I've found it really tricky to get...

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Lol, not sure if I could even manage a wheelie on this bike tbh.

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Thanks everyone for your helpful replies. I started writing a comment addressing all the different things you've suggested it could be, but having just had a quick test with the bike again, I've just realised something... When I said this issue occurs if I press the brakes and push the bike...

Front of bike (headset or suspension) doesn't feel right

Hi, A week or so ago I posted about an issue I had with the rear wheel of a cheapo E-bike I bought (Hitway BK15). The post replies helped me find out what the problem was, so I'm hoping I might have the same luck again. After sorting the rear wheel issue, I fixed up the brakes, gears, etc, and...

    Stiff rear wheel

Thanks everyone for the replies. I can now confirm it was actually the disc brake rotor that was causing it! After removing it, the wheel spins fine again. I had no idea that could be the cause of the issue. When I replaced the disc I was going to use the bolts from the the original one, but...

    Stiff rear wheel

I haven't tried that, but I did actually replace the original disc brake rotor because it was slightly warped and I decided to get a new one rather than trying to true it. However, I'm fairly sure the bolts were exactly the same as the original ones so I don't think that's what's happened. It...
