New build: pas sensor intermittent cut-out

@Nealh @vfr400 bingo! it turns out that you can push the magnets out pretty easily and there's no adhesive or anything. I just flipped it around and slid it back in (it's pretty tight so unlikely to fall out by itself) and the sensor is lighting up at the right times now. Will take it for a ride...

New build: pas sensor intermittent cut-out

Genius. I moved the connector to the other side and it lights up for that one point only when rotating backwards. I'm going to try turning that magnet around but I wonder how to make sure it stays there afterwards? Might need a dab of superglue I guess.

New build: pas sensor intermittent cut-out

Hi all, I finally got around to putting together the KT+Bafang kit I got and almost everything seems to be working well. The only problem is an issue with the pas sensor. The PAS is a 12 pole split ring disc (like this one...

Using a Bosch Powerpack 500 with conversion kit (KT)

Hi all, I previously posted about my stolen e-bike... well the police recovered it and the battery/motor are working, but the rest of that bike is a wreck. I'm thinking of re-using some of the parts for an e-bike conversion on my replacement bike instead. Wondering whether anyone knows or has...

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

Thanks all. Agree that if I buy the kit it will work. At this point I was just checking whether there is optionality for the future. That is, can I switch to a sine wave in future with minimal additional purchase (only a new controller)? From the discussion it looks like is possible but depends...

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

They've told me that the motor is Bafang G020.500.DC which when I look it up (https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000837488519.html) appears to have 9 pins. They also claim I could change for a sine-wave controller later but that they don't stock it. However, given that the controller turned out to be...

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

I'm currently considering just going ahead with the square wave, but to preserve options for the future, it sounds like I should confirm whether the motor is 3pin (as @Nealh observed in the picture) or 9pin (given that the picture might be wrong).

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

The seller also gave me this direct link to their site, which also doesn't provide any info on the controller. https://green-pedal.co.uk/products/bundlekit I'm interested in current control (imitation torque) exactly because of your recommendations in another thread of mine @vfr400 and @Nealh...

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

This is the listing where I found the seller: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224338526272?ViewItem=&item=224338526272 However, it doesn't say anything about the controller, I got that information by contacting the seller.

    KT48ZWSRM-HY02L - characteristics?

Hi all, I'm looking at buying a kit (rear hub) that includes this controller: KT48ZWSRM-HY02L But trying to find out more about this controller. The seller claims it is a sine-wave controller but I noticed on some other online resources that ZWSRM are square wave, while SVPRD are sine wave...

Whyte Cambridge 2018 - Will this bottom bracket work with TongSheng TSDZ2?

I'm not trying to convince anyone here, just sharing my experiences and also trying to learn from you all who are much more experienced. I haven't been here long enough and tried enough pedelecs to know what I would believe long term I've only ridden a bosch mid drive, a promovec rear hub drive...

Whyte Cambridge 2018 - Will this bottom bracket work with TongSheng TSDZ2?

I get that - and in fact what I want from a bike with pedals is for it to ride like a bike, something I enjoy doing. My key requirements are that I want to be able to tow/carry my toddlers and go farther. So it's either I become superhumanly fit with a regular bike, or try to get some electric...

Whyte Cambridge 2018 - Will this bottom bracket work with TongSheng TSDZ2?

Interesting thoughts on the mid vs hub. I wanted to go mid because my old (stolen) bike was a mid drive (bosch) and I liked the ride over the hub drive bikes that I've tried. I think the key aspect was that torque sensed pedal assist and applying power before the gears was more intuitive to me...

Whyte Cambridge 2018 - Will this bottom bracket work with TongSheng TSDZ2?

Interesting... pretty much all bikes have cables routing under there though, right - so it seems like a necessity when fitting this motor.

:( Though thanks for answering! Do you happen to know what the space is between the BB part and the motor part are on the TongSheng?
