I have today bought the Cube Touring Hybrid One 400, £1439. It's a bit rough around the edges, with especially budget fork, pedals and Derailleur. But the ALP motor works brilliantly, and the frame and wheels seem solid. Only had a quick spin this evening but generally pretty happy.

So it was too good to be true, Freeborn don't have any stock of the discounted 2018 bikes.

Has anyone bought from Freeborn? This ^ for £1599 and the "Cube Touring Hybrid One 400 2018 Iridium/Black" for £1439 seem too good to be true. What's the catch?

Looks great! I'm wondering about the 22mph? I thought these motors were geared to 15.5mph? Any idea why yours is so fast? Is it a 26" motor in those big wheels?

It all depends on the degree of damage. It's not not too bad, any decent bike shop will be able to run the CORRECT pedals taps through and rethread the cranks. Of course if the damage is serious this won't be possible.

Looking good - will the kit be sold as a bare motor, without wheel? I'd want to build the motor into my own wheel.

The website still says "from January 2011." It would be nice to have up to date information.
