    So no ideas of whether it's possible.. I'm also thinking insurance might be a problem, although kit car insurance might be an option?

    Thanks for the information, I've recently purchased a converted KMX Trike with twin batteries which rather shockingly pulls at 28mph along the flat. I was thinking I would have to sell it because it would be illegal to ride. However now I think single vehicle type approval seems the way forward...
