Woosh rear hub kit (XF08C cassette freehub)

No, the axle fit wasn't too bad and it's OK to remove for punctures etc. I think I was just being very cautious as I didn't want to put much strain on the aluminium stays. It's all been trouble free since completing the conversion.

Dangerous suspension seat post. Don't buy this!

I think I was lucky that I was clipped-in to my pedals on the trainer as I immediately stood up on the pedals when the seat bolt sheared and the saddle disappeared. If my feet had slipped off the pedals.....I don't want to think what might have occurred! The downside of being clipped-in was...

Dangerous suspension seat post. Don't buy this!

I had the same shock on my bike with its single seat clamp bolt shearing off suddenly a couple of years ago. Luckily I was using the bike on an indoor trainer at the time so no serious injuries. I'd been using the post for a few years and the failure was totally unexpected. I've not had much...

Can Anyone Identify This E-Bike Please

It looks like one of the Juicy Bike Sport models, but other than that there's no way to tell from just the picture of the exact specs/model year. Looks like it has an additional bottle mounted battery & the carrier looks like it's either badly adjusted or is from a larger wheeled bike.

Moustache Samedi 27 Weekend FS Dual EQ

Any update from your reseller after they checked the bike? Did the Cube bike you hired all have the Bosch CX performance line motor? The reason that I ask is that the wide variety of different e-bikes perform slightly differently and you'll see from the many threads here that what suits one...

EXPORTING TRAIL TYPE METADATA TO A NAVIGATION TOOL

Hi, Have you tried downloading the Garmin maps from Trailforks: https://www.trailforks.com/tools/garminmaps/ ? This transfers the image file from Trailforks which contains the difficulty rating colours on each track rather than any additional metadata. Dan

Converting a Dawes Karakoram touring bike

As vfr has responded, there are many factors which will help decide which options may be best for your use, so some further details will help guide advice. I'm a novice at the conversion process, but my wife has the Dawes Oasis Deluxe which I think is a similar era and model to yours, but with...

Orbea Gain F40 chain jumping off front chainset

Thanks for the update. Hope it's fixed soon.

Orbea Gain F40 chain jumping off front chainset

It could be the freewheel jamming slightly due a fault with the pawls. When the bike is stationary, try turning the cranks backwards at various speeds and see if it locks up at all. If it does I think you'rd best contacting the retailer for support as you shouldn't have to replace the...

    Haibike Frame mount

I'd ask whether your Haibkike retailer can supply a pair of the Multimounts (possibly FOC?). They seem to be also available from some of the Haibike stockists for around £5 - £6 and then you can mount any bottle cage you wish.

Woosh rear hub kit (XF08C cassette freehub)

Thanks for the feedback and tips. I'll make a few tweaks once my wife has had a few test rides.

Woosh rear hub kit (XF08C cassette freehub)

Hi, I've just completed my first conversion using the Woosh XF08C kit, rear hub motor with cassette freehub and I chose the version which included the battery mounted on a rear carrier. The whole process has gone very smoothly and I'm really pleased with the outcome. The bike to be converted...

    Hello - fantastic forum!

Yes, I'm hoping that the outcome might be that end up wanting one. I've been improving my cycling fitness/performance over the last 6 months, going from being a regular cyclist to probably what you'd call an (over)keen cyclist and my wife suggested an e-bike to make our rides more enjoyable.

    Hello - fantastic forum!

Hi, I recently joined the forum after stumbling across some of the posts whilst googling e-bike conversion kits. I've been exploring the fantastic wealth of information on the forum over the last few weeks as I wanted to convert my wife's 2007 Dawes Oasis hybrid as her Christmas/Birthday...

    Hybrid tyre reccomendation

I use the Marathon Plus (26x2.00) on my hybrid and find them extremely reliable and puncture-free on the road and pretty good on trails, although inferior to a dedicated offroad tyre on loose or slippery slopes. I'm now trying out a pair of Marathon Greenguards (same size) on a recent e-bike...
