Somehow I think if we wouldn't allow it in Europe we wont be allowing it out of Europe. We are one of the most conservative , blinkered nations on earth, trying to hang on to the past rather than embrace the future, apart from maybe North Korea.

Interesting discussion . Having just bought a Yamaha dirt e the thought of paying I think about £600 for a replacement battery is a scary thought. I did read somewhere on this forum that the Yamaha batteries are good for 2000 charges..optimistic? probably.So lets half that estimate and say 1000...

glad to be of help..one thing to note is at a 6 feet and 33 inch instep I just fit the large bike. if you are any shorter maybe the medium is a better bet. or you could shorten the 400mm seat post by 2 or three inches if necessary. regards

Hi brownster, was out for the second time today. First impressions on the road was a little harder work than a hub/rotation sensor bike . Off road and on hills is where it really scores though. So much torque at low speed through the gears, feels like it will climb a mountain. Plenty of grip...

can't match eddies mudplugging but had second run out on giant dirt e today..was fun.....

I know flecc. I was being a little tongue in cheek. Seriously though I find 18 mph a nice cruising speed on road on an mtb. Shame my new bike wont do that. Be interesting to see if it cuts out at 15.5 or 17 mph. the latter would be nice, Regards

I haven't got one altop1, but I did test ride one and found it a very comfortable bike. Really liked it but at the time it was £1599.so I passed. At £1299 it is fair value I feel. It has a 21" frame which suited me nicely being a tad over 6 feet tall. The rear suspension is basic coil spring...
