Is this bike ok to fit a kit to.

d8, thanks for the reply; I was mainly interested in the best controller for my non-critical needs, and probably I'll run a Luna Cycles 52V system. Glad to see there are no downsides to cassette version since that lets me design the gears for optimum usability.

d8, not to hijack, but I would like the same kit without battery. Is there a reason not to procure the cassette version and which controller is best?

Sorry, meant 50 pages; couldn't change.

    BMS Battery cell replacement

Also, be glad that you didn't purchase a Dillenger battery. My two 36V, 10 a/h units both failed in about one year and 50 or so charging cycles. Took apart the first one and the batteries were no-name (didn't even have the courtesy to use knock-offs). Will dissemble the second one soon.

Thanks again; already have BBS02 and Yamaha "middies". The new US version has been manufactured for 48/52V and is interesting (to me) to see how it assimilates steeper MTB terrain. Also, wanted to build it fairly light using a 20 pound GT as a platform, and a three pound 52V, 7 a/h battery...

Thanks, hoped that you would answer. I ride almost exclusively offroad, so like the concept of a low gear hub (of course mid-drives are great for this environment). Still deciding if I should pursue this avenue.

This motor, which seemed to have a short life as a US product, is being sold here again as a kit. Anybody have any recent experience with it? If this post should be combined with others on the topic, please incorporate. I didn't see where to do a search.

    Bafang BBS02 chain line

Didn't read the whole thread, so please excuse me if this was covered, but on mine I used a Luna Cycle "narrow-wide" ring with 30 teeth since the top speed of 24 mph or so was adequate for off road; the gears on my cassette are 11-17-28 with 8-speed spacing. With the motor I need only these...

    Haibike sduro hardseven.

FYI, tested an XDURO hardtail for three weeks on very washed out trails in SoCal --- not a bit of battery movement. I would surmise that it's not good for the battery to rattle around.

Importing from China - Learn from my costly mistake

FYI, I purchased a battery from Ping, AFAIK a respected supplier, and paid adequately (IMO) for shipping by air to the US. The battery was shipped as if it were normal goods, but fortunately, wasn't examined in China or here. From then I've purchased only from domestic suppliers. Fortunately, we...

    Opinions on this bike

Looks similar to the Cemoto, reviewed on bike forums (US), and found to be a very good value.

    Bafang BBS02 14s lipo

My BBS02, no battery yet so it's not operational, has the right crankarm about 10-15 mm further away from the frame that the left. Long shot, but could this be related to your "wiggling"?
