Whoosh DWG22c 48v rear hub kit fit march 2021

I agree with Jodel….give whoosh a call. I did this before ordering the kit and they are very knowledgeable and guided me to the right kit.

Whoosh DWG22c 48v rear hub kit fit march 2021

Recently been monitoring the battery/mileage status and the Whoosh web site has it about right (for me)...mostly on level 3 of the controller and on windy, cold and hilly roads I get 45 miles out of the 13A battery with I'm guessing at least 5 or so miles left in it. Well done Whoosh.

Insurance issue with stolen e bikes

Direct line checked today and they do cover e-bikes.....which remember must comply with UK law (pedal assisted only, 250W power motor, 25kmph etc) otherwise they are no longer bicycles and hence not covered.

Whoosh DWG22c 48v rear hub kit fit march 2021

Cable ties for rear wheel chain stay.......or other places!

That’s one way but a better job is to take the wheel off, remove the tyre and tube, check the whole tyre for protruding objects etc, repair tube, pump up tube a little and again check before re-assembly. Much easier with the wheel off.

Cable ties for rear wheel chain stay.......or other places!

Having just fitted a rear hub kit it was obvious that a ‘normal’ cable tie would not allow the removal of the rear wheel if one is placed either side of the cable connector on the chain stay. The solution is simple fit releasable cable ties. Narrow nylon ties are available but usually in large...

Whoosh DWG22c 48v rear hub kit fit march 2021

This is my first bike conversion to electric but having been a cycling club member for many years and having worked as a bike mechanic in a shop in my student days I felt confident to take on the task. A quick couple of e-mail to Whoosh confirmed the specification of kit needed and order placed...
