I actually saw this, it's not comptabile, it has a different connector at the bottom.

I've been led to believe that there is a communication protocol. The battery has about 6 pins which would also point to some sort of handshaking. I haven't seen anything which looks like a controller, but I will double check my bike, and post pictures of the motor and connector tomorrow.
