Giant Escape or Roam for ebike conversion - is even cheap suspension better than rigid fork?

Dont bother with cheap forks, I have a nasty suntour on my Cube 500 hybrid and it would be vastly improved by a stiff carbon fork OR a much more upmarket suspension fork. IME Cheap ones offer little comfort and ruin the handling and braking feel.

Cube Cross Hybrid One 500 2019

Hi -possibly yes. Can you send me your contacts in a private link ? Also pictures of the parts - the forks need to have big clearance as I have chunky tyres in - and have disk posts - Cheers

Cube Cross Hybrid One 500 2019

Yes, in fact I only just did put it on having bought the chainring ages ago. It came from Tredz, exact spec as in picture attached, they also sell a protector , Ideally you need a special chain ring tool to remove the lock ring but just use a blunt punch, it comes off OK, - NOTE - its reverse...

Cube Cross Hybrid One 500 2019

Hi Willinliv I never did fit a larger chain ring - mainly because the removal tool is Cube specific and I haven't been able to source one. Ridiculous given this is a regular service part. TBH, I'm not bothered about raising the gearing anymore, unless you have massive downhills around you...

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

I'd also put a piece of good quality gaffer tape over them, you don't want them falling off - very tedious!

As someone else said, get a few sticky magnets off the internet LIKE THESE to fix onto the inside of the crank, don't bother trying to relocate the wheel magnet, it's the wrong shape. You only need 2 of these little fellas and you're in business!

Cube Cross Hybrid One 500 2019

Have now covered about 500 miles so thought I'd share my thoughts on this bike. Firstly went for this model as, at £1800, it was more affordable than most, the battery is really well integrated into the frame and it has the latest Bosch Active Line Plus motor which is simpler, lighter and...

    Commute and some off road?

Thanks, I have been wondering how the police are training up on this. As a hacker I acknowledge there is personal injury claim risk if involved in an accident and the bike is found to be derestricted. It's a risk I'm reluctantly taking. I wouldn't have bothered with a pedelec if I couldn't have...

Mines an active plus, not cx, has 38T ring, no upgrade available! might bolt a bigger ring onto it once warranty runs out.

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

What I need is a bigger chain ring as am hitting max comfortable cadence pretty quickly, also 1st is way too low, but been told there is not one available. its the FSA comfort line or something - cheap looking thing.

Best derestriction for Bosch Active Line?

yeah, i didn't mean i could actually hit 60, just in theory. I can't quite get to the bottom of how the Active plus motor dishes out its power, it feels like it gives more help the less i put in, and vice versa, but its hard to be sure.

I've done this magnet on the crank mod, in top gear it thinks the bike is going about 25% of its true speed so no reason you can't hit about 60mph before it cuts out - so it really is effectively unlimited.
