Just think of all the jobs you can do with the little bits of aluminium you cut off the bar ends when you cut to the right width, think of the little brackets you can make out of the rest of the tubing if they don’t fit, there’s always a Silverlining.

If / When we get “locked down” it’s a bloody depressing thought of having to spin the turbo trainer listening to Jeremy Vine .......

How about “doom and gloom, as usual some dubious rumours“ :-)

I contacted the assembly member and raised this concern, we are a remote rural community with many elderly people who live alone. Today I received a reply that he will raise the question with the health minister and in fairness our AM does what he says and gives good feedback. I suggested...

    Handlebars.

When I was a lad everyone (else) had these, I couldn’t bring myself to have one as they were so inefficient to ride, today with the addition of a crank drive that wouldn’t matter ;-) (Edit) in case the point was badly presented, position on the bike is still important to effective cycling...

I like to try bar ends as they are a great way of temporarily changing your position which helps work out what you then need to do, shorter /taller longer riser, seat position etc etc. I don't like them on an mtb as they hook round trees and branches at the most inopportune time. mine are...

I noticed that Mr Corbyn sounded like he was struggling to control his voice, hopefully just a cold or something. n.b. if he was in a queue at Tesco I'd be changing lane.....

I'll summarise for you, one side is saying its great and the other side is saying its terrible.. the truth is probably somewhere in the middle ;-)

Its got the makings of useful change in attitude, some manufacturers were discussing this several years ago before I retired and it was actually seen as a positive step, in a competitive consumer market you can imagine why they would want to do that. Europe is now following on from the American...

Well remaining optimistic here, if such re awakening happens at all it would most likely be down stream when there isn't such peak demand on healthcare, being less widespread it would be more manageable. Whilst that impact might be significant, even fatal to the individual wont future flu...

I visited my parents yesterday, while shopping for them I noticed the chip shop was still closed. At the outbreak of the virus in China the owner and family of their local chip shop were in China. When they returned to the UK they placed a notice on the shop door, whilst no one was ill they...

Dalston fatal e-bike crash rider 'going too fast' - Court Case

If this (back end) of the thread was being carried out in a pub, by now most of us would be rolling about on the floor laughing as the handbags were being slung round ;-) Never mind, it will be sunny in a few days.

I was born quite close to the town of Leigh.. brought up between Wigan and Bolton means that in my view a balanced diet is a meat pie in one hand and a kebab in the other.
