The fuse hasn't blown. The battery lights up when it's not connected to the bike but when we put it back in place it won't work. It's been pretty wet recently so that might why there is corrosion? At least we've found the problem now.

It was new when bought in September. Sent the husband out to the garage to have a look and it's the small metal bar with the prongs that go into the battery has snapped in half and there is corrosion around the wires connected to the prong bar. I'm going to phone powacycle on Tuesday and see if...

Cycling home from work and suddenly lost power and there were no lights on the battery. Got a new fuse and battery worked fine again. Put the battery back in the bike this morning and turned it on and all lights flicked off so I assume the fuse has blown again. Any ideas what this might be...

I seem to have got it working again. I went and had another look at it after dinner and gave the wires another wiggle and it all came back to life! I had a little pedal up the road to start with it was juddering like the chain was slipping a couple of times then I went over a drain so it bounced...

Thanks again, It's a broken or loose bracket according to Halflords. Said the most it will cost is £15 if it needs replacing so booked in for two weeks time. They are very busy so that's why I've got to wait so long!

Thanks for the replies. It'll have to be Halfords as it's the nearest for me and I pass it on my way home from work. We're lacking a bit in bike shops where I live.

How often (miles) should I be getting my electric bike serviced? My Powacycle Salisbury seems to have developed a bit of a pedal wobble (feels loose and wobbles side to side) which is probably just a matter of tightening it up. I must admit I've been giving it a bit of a pounding over the month...

Thanks for the reply. Need to charge everyday by the looks of it. Did have two bags full of shopping after being to Tesco which added a bit extra weight so not surprised the battery went flat! I'm not very technically minded so I instantly thought there was something wrong!
