Thanks, it seems that several suppliers use the same mounting, one on order from Ebay.

I found one on Ebay, the X-go rack baterry looks like a perfect match and the mounting is available separately.

Awaiting reply from Cyclotricity, in the meantime it was worth asking if someone had one laying around. Plenty of hailong mounts available on line but can't find any rack mounted. I realise Cyclotricity dont make the batteries but it seemed like the safest option. The fitting rail is 65mm wide.

Looking for a mounting for a cyclotricity 36v rear rack battery, I only need the mounting and controller box not the battery.

Update:- A new controller and LCD4 have been installed, a square wave 20A 36/48v controller (pictured below) was found on Ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/lightinbike18) it was listed as 36v but turned out to be 36/48v, a bit of a squeeze but just fits inside the battery box, result! It gives...

I'll give it go, this might be the last bike I ever buy so I want to get it right.

Thanks saneagle, it seems that all their square wave controllers will run sensorless but all the 36/48v are 22a and too big to fit, so if I want to keep things neat it looks as though I'll have to settle for a 24/36v, it's a shame because I wanted the option of upgrading to 48v. The KT website...

What?, you cannot be serious, £189 !!. That's almost what I paid for the bike. Interesting comment re. Big apples, maybe that's why it rides so good.

It's the Dahon espresso virtually as new, 26 inch wheels, 8fun front wheel motor labelled 250 watt, unknown controller (label missing), big apple tyres. Got the original receipt for £973 , rides nicely. It's a keeper.

Thanks for the explanation, I'm recovering from a broken leg and using the bike to aid recovery, even so I'm finding the hill climbing power adequate so staying with 36v seems sensible. There are 36v 15 Ah batteries available made from 21700 panasonic cells which I assume would have a good...
