Front Hub motor for 700C Swytch kit.

Hi the Q100 or the Q100H? Is BMSbattery the best place to buy from as the postage to the UK is massive?

Front Hub motor for 700C Swytch kit.

I have two Swytch kits on 700c wheels and two Brompton kits and would like to add another 700c electric wheel to my best titanium bike. I need a new front motor and I'll get the wheel built up by a very good wheel builder. I will take some of the bits off a Brompton for the battery...

    Swytch Kits

I have 4 Swytch kits: two bromptons and two on 700c's. I was one of the early adopters so I got mine for a very good price and zero import duty. Both of the Bromptons work great and my only complaint would be the battery pack interferes with the Brompton bag. Other than that they work fine...

    Panda Bikes

They are still around but very very very slow at responding. I'm not sure if the very very very slow bit was too fast for them. I've been waiting for two replacement sensors for weeks and nothing has arrived. Their message of "convert any bike" does not apply to modern(ish) carbon frames as the...

    Xiongda front hub problem

When did Swytch inform you about the software issue? I was going to go out on my wife's Brompton to see if it was any better but, if there is a software issue with the controller, I'll wait for a fix. This is assuming there will be a fix.

    Xiongda front hub problem

I've swapped the battery with my wife's and it is still jerky. Sadly the top speed now appears to be 14.4 and it takes several pedal revolutions before the power cuts in. I'm going to charge up the smaller battery pack and try that. It is very strange that the same packs from the same supplier...

    Xiongda front hub problem

I'll swap the battery packs on my Bromptons and see if there is any difference. It would be great to solve this problem as Swytch are being useless.

That's the downside of being over 100kg for me.

I think if you're running on level 5/6 and cycling over about 10mph you're unlikely to be using any battery power. On that basis you could easily do 50 miles if your legs would last that long.

David888, I think running on levels 5/6 and mainly flat roads I would get about 25 miles. Throw in a couple of hills (with my heavy weight) this would reduce greatly. However, I'm looking forward to seeing how your new motor performs.

David, that just makes me jealous. If you had said you also get the quoted 50 mile range I would have cried.

David, what are they offering and is it for the Brompton or a full size kit?

I've been offered yet another sensor that should come in the next two weeks. I'll keep you all posted.

Last chance to order the Swytch complete eBike kit for £225

Fed Up with Swytch They have sent me two V12 sensors but they don't fit either. I have emailed to ask what they suggest but I guess they are all in America as I have not had a reply. I still have two road kits I cannot use. Maybe the Swytch guys would like to visit me and prove they can convert...

There are solutions for hollowtech on the Swytch facebook page. My old bike has a Dillinger kit on it. I was going to put the Swytch on my unused carbon Ribble but the bottom bracket is too wide.
