    Help! Sakura shopper

Hmm what I'm worried about is it going by itself. Apparently the MK1 and some early mk2s are wired backwards or something and go when it's negative signals or something meaning it might go when the throttle is off and when it's twisted stop thus being quite deadly. The other thing is as it is...

    Help! Sakura shopper

I wish that had worked so a 6 wire throttle arrived. It has the battery indicator in the throttle anoyingly so it's 6. It didn't so much as glimmer. I didn't have a wiring diagram though. I'm thinking of changing the whole controller and throttle but idk if they make one that works with the...

    Controller replacement

I've a sakura (powaybke shopper MK2). It's dead. Battery's and motor work but no throttle or power. We think the controller has failed and the wires from the battery. I want to replace everything basically. Is there a controller I can fit that will work with the motor and PAS sensor and that...

    Help! Sakura shopper

I have a sakura shopper s305 I believe an old shopper one. It has no throttle. Will a 6 wire one fit or is it like a powabyke where it may not work and run all the time or something. Does anyone know if one would fit or where to get one. Found this one...

    Powabyke SLA Charger

Tbh the deep cycle sla they use can do a good 300 cycles or something. It's not as good as LI in terms of cycles but its cheap to replace. You can get 3 new sla cells for like 50-80. I was quoted 120-400 for my old li bike and the cells are all individual you can't just swap them out. With sla...

    Old Powabyke shopper?

Oh fair enough. I don't see much of a difference with the pas all it means is you have to pedal to twist thr throttle and it's a little less powerful. Apparently it does 50% of the work for you but I'd say more. Mines the mark 2 2002 mind you Idk the mark one had it. .. I've noticed...

    Old Powabyke shopper?

I just changed my 20 year old tyres in April on my my shopper they'd done well. Only on second set of batteries and they'll do till the new year. It's better than the modern bike I had tbh. I did have to get a new charger and do the break pads and chain but that's it. . it's such a good...

    Old Powabyke shopper?

Yh very cheap 80 quid mobility scooter batteries easy to fit and cheap . Best ebike in my view is these old lead acid ones. Cheap and easy to get batteries and full throttle to a good 12 mph

Grant Shapps wants a speed limit for cyclists

Idc ebikes are limited to 15.5 anyways and my old powaybke only does 12.5 ish nowadays it's getting a bit tired. Like if you go above 15.5 you have to pedal wiut no help and that's so frustrating . Used to do it a bit on my old cyclamatic ebike but with 3 leaded acid cells on this one it'd...

    Wisper 806 throttle

That's a clever I've seen that on other bikes where you have a throttle and so long as your legs go round a bit it actually does 99% of the work for you but tbh momentum does it all for you really and you're barely doing more than letting them go round.
