    E-bike For a Child

My 11 year old grandson has been riding a Tongsheng converted bike for a couple of years now. We regularly go out on family trail rides and because he rides respectfully when passing others eg walkers/horses etc, nobody seems to notice he is on a powered bike. I would not recommend taking them...

    Tongsheng problem

Stripped the motor down yesterday, simple half hour job, though care has to be taken with the 4 countersunk motor screws as they seem to be JIS and very soft. The blue gear has a clutch and seems to be perfect. Now it's back together the pedals turn easier and there's less vibration, as before...

    Tongsheng problem

My son in law's bike has lost power. He rides it all the time in top gear turbo (in spite of lots of warnings not to!) The pedals are hard to turn even with the chain removed. Has anybody had this problem? The main Sprag clutch is good. Does the blue gear have a clutch as well? I'm...

    Hello everybody!

Don't tell anybody but riding it to the scrutineering bay is a bit scary these days I have done 5 conversions so far, 4 Tongshengs and a Baarfang...... 3 Claud Butlers, a Raleigh and something that came from Decathlon, which all looks quite robust. I have acquired a really good condition...

Help! What COMPLETELY LEGAL Ebike will get me up hills?

Saneagles got it spot on. Everybody knows the bikes are illegal. Including the people selling them. They make perfect criminal activity vehicles fast and silent. I was talking to an EX traffic cop who said the lads riding these bikes know that unless they are wearing safety gear the police...

Help! What COMPLETELY LEGAL Ebike will get me up hills?

Gone a bit off topic (there's lots of Burke's on bikes on YouTube) Bikes &TT is a newbie like me, and was asking which bike to choose to go up hills. Quick tale of how we got here........ Raced power boats from age 15 up to International level, should have been 16 but my dad lied about my...

    Confused by Mudguards...

Fitted cheap eBay guards on our bikes (£6.16) Used an old 60's Motorcross trick. Piece of old inner tube, 4 cable ties and a piece of bent aluminium..... as the mounting brackets that come with the guards are crap! Our bikes have been bashed over rocks on the Derbyshire trails , through mud...

    Dodgy batteries ?

Thanks for your advice. The port was a bad connection from day one, I just got fed up of fiddling with it to get it to charge hence the reason for changing the part. I think I may have to send the seller a less polite email.

    Dodgy batteries ?

Hi everyone, I am a new member of this group and new to ebikes. I purchased 2 Tongsheng kits and was advised to buy battery packs with known cells i.e. Samsung, LG, Panasonic and the like. I bought 2 packs from the R-Team with supposedly PANASONIC cells. A couple of weeks ago the charging port...
