    Measuring Amps, how to?

Thanks both for good replies. The reason is it feels a little weak. I dont know if the China guy programmed the controller to 7 - 8 or 10 amps. When I GENTLY use the pedals along the motor, I go about the same speed as male cyclists. (not sporty ones..). Is that normal speed for a Tongxin? (190...

I have a Tongxin hub on my bike, that I want to measure with a multimeter. Do I use the wires between the battery and the controller to measure the amp usage? Thanks Carsten

    Ailing Bike, or Failing Battery?

Just to clarify: the potentiometer I am talking about is a little adjustable screw-thingy sticking out of my controller. It might be an exclusive feature in kits from "Alienbikes.co.uk".

    Ailing Bike, or Failing Battery?

My bike did that (1 year old Alienbike kit, 250w 36v 10 amp.); I had turned the controller potentiometer to max, which is 15 amp. And after a month or so it started to turn off once in a while. I experimented with the potentiometer setting and ended up at around 2/3 of maximum, which I guess is...

    Which Tongxin rpm?

Thing is I have a 36v 10 amp battery from an earlier setup that will be used. So I guess the 36v versions will be more powerfull in some way, well I hope its an option anyway. And I hope 190rpm/700c wheel is not too bad for driving against the wind and modest hillclimping. Thx, CJ
