Isn't it more difficult to assemble a rear motor? What is preferable a front or a rear motor? What is the width of the rear axle on your Dahon? What are the guidelines in selecting a rear motor? I believe is first must support the 8 gears the D8 has... Tnx

Hi, I would like to build an e-bike from the TERN D8. The problem is that the bike front fork axle width is 74mm. All the kits i found require a minimum of 100mm width to assemble the motor and wheel. I saw an electric TERN D8 bike once, so there must be a way to make it electric. Thanks

Jerry, I want to buy a TERN D8 bike, but the fork width there is 74mm. All the kits i can find are for 100mm fork. Is there a method to install this kit on the D8? like bending the fork... Thanks
