    Bosch - New eMtb mode

I had my Intuvia upgraded to the new mode yesterday whilst my Cube was in for its 1st free service at All Terrain in Saltaire. I tend to use Eco and Tour most of the time as I am not a hardcore off roader. But I did find the new eMTB mode more flexible and less snatchy than when in fixed Turbo...

    Bosch climbing speed

Fair comment Woosh and I'm not knocking the no pedal/throttle option. I was just responding to the original post which talked about hill climbing at speed with the Bosch system. If I wasn't fit enough to at least maintain some degree of cadence on the steep hills to keep the Bosch system...

Broken Carrera Crossfire after 1 hour ownership!

I would take the new one on Monday. It may well be just the connector as suggested, but why mess around with it? It could be something else.

    Bosch climbing speed

Lots of interesting discussion in this post. As a 17 stone overweight 50+ newbie to this game, I have to say that I am absolutely delighted with my Bosch CX drive equipped Cube. I live in the Yorkshire Dales and believe me, there are some pretty steep hills. At no time have I been defeated in...

I knew I shouldn't have walked into the shop!!

Bit the bullet and shelled out on Magura Vyron dropper post last week. Tredzs had a £40 off Easter deal which softened the blow. Went out for a road ride yesterday evening and the dropper post is brilliant when getting on and off the bike. I'm not as agile as I once was and getting my leg over...

    Looking for a new e-bike

Hi bradgirl, If you are close to All Terrain, why not pop in there and see what they have. I called in to Evans in Leeds city centre a few months ago after looking at ebikes on their website and they didn't have a single bike to show me :( I was reluctant to visit All Terrain because I felt...

I knew I shouldn't have walked into the shop!!

That's a good idea Trevormonty. I'll look into dropper posts. It would make it more convenient when stopping. I've only been out on the new bike for a couple of rides so far but I am loving it. First trip out was mainly on flat roads and some gentle inclines, followed by a return journey on the...

Difference between the Wisper SE and Torque

Might be worth buying a tube of threadlock and putting a few drops on the battery rack screws to stop them shaking loose. Somewhere like Halfords, or even a radio controlled model shop should stock it. I use the Tamiya R/C model threadlock on all sorts of jobs and it works really well.

I knew I shouldn't have walked into the shop!!

I have been thinking about an eMTB for a few months now. At close to 55 and carrying too much weight (17St) I was struggling last year to keep up with my son on the odd road and canal tow path ride last year. No problem on the tow path but as we live in Yorkshire you are never far from a steep...
